This immersive three-day safari is designed to provide a concentrated, unforgettable experience in Kenya’s premier wildlife destination, the Masai Mara National Reserve. Focusing specifically on the Great Wildebeest Migration, this tour offers extensive game viewing from a comfortable, mid-range lodge. It is the perfect short safari for those seeking to witness one of nature’s most spectacular events, with abundant opportunities to see the Big Five and other iconic African species.
Day 1: Nairobi to Masai Mara National Reserve

Upon your arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, you will be greeted by our representative for a welcome briefing. Your journey begins with a scenic drive to the Masai Mara, traversing the dramatic escarpment of the Great Rift Valley, where you will stop for photographs. Continue through savanna landscapes, observing local Maasai communities, before arriving at your lodge in time for lunch. After settling in, embark on your first afternoon game drive. This initial foray into the reserve offers a thrilling introduction to its rich wildlife, with likely sightings of lion, elephant, giraffe, and zebra. Return to the lodge for dinner and your overnight stay.

After an early breakfast, depart for a full day of game viewing in the heart of the migration corridor. With a packed lunch, you will have the flexibility to explore the vast grasslands and river systems where the great herds of wildebeest and zebra gather. The Masai Mara is renowned for its high density of predators; watch for lions, cheetahs, and leopards, often seen in pursuit of their prey. The day is dedicated to searching for the dramatic river crossings and vast herds that define the migration. As the sun sets, return to your lodge to recount the day’s adventures over dinner.
