After breakfast, depart from Entebbe or Kampala and drive southwest toward Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, home of the endangered mountain gorillas. The journey takes you through beautiful countryside, rolling hills, and traditional Ugandan villages.
Stop at the Equator for photos and lunch en route. Continue through the Kigezi Highlands, often called the “Switzerland of Africa.” Arrive at your lodge in the evening for dinner and relaxation.

After an early breakfast, proceed to the park headquarters for a briefing by the Uganda Wildlife Authority rangers. Set off into the dense rainforest on your gorilla trekking adventure. The trek may take 2–6 hours depending on the location of the gorilla family, but the reward is a once-in-a-lifetime encounter with these gentle giants.
Spend up to one unforgettable hour observing the gorillas as they go about their daily activities. After the trek, return to the lodge for lunch and relaxation. Optional cultural visits to nearby Batwa communities can be arranged in the evening.
