8 Days Uganda Highlights Safari

This 8-day safari takes you on a journey through Uganda’s most breathtaking destinations — from the lush rainforests of Kibale and Bwindi to the savannah plains of Queen Elizabeth National Park. Experience close encounters with chimpanzees and mountain gorillas, enjoy thrilling game drives, and cruise the Kazinga Channel teeming with hippos and birds. The tour blends wildlife, culture, and scenic beauty for an unforgettable African adventure.
Day 1: Arrival in Entebbe – Transfer to Kampala

Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be met by our representative and transferred to your hotel in Kampala. Depending on your arrival time, you may choose to explore the city or relax at your hotel. Dinner and overnight stay in Kampala.

Day 2: Kampala to Murchison Falls National Park via Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary

After breakfast, depart for Murchison Falls National Park, with a stop at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for a guided rhino tracking experience. Proceed to Masindi for lunch, then continue to the park.
Arrive in the evening and check into your lodge on the northern bank of the River Nile. Relax as you enjoy views of the African wilderness.

Day 3: Game Drive and Nile Boat Safari

Start the day with an early morning game drive in the savanna, where you may spot lions, elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, and antelopes. Return to the lodge for breakfast and relaxation.
In the afternoon, enjoy a boat cruise on the Nile to the base of Murchison Falls. Observe hippos, crocodiles, and a variety of birdlife. Optional hike to the top of the falls for a closer view before returning to the lodge for dinner.

Day 4: Murchison Falls to Kibale National Park

After breakfast, depart Murchison Falls and drive south through scenic landscapes and tea plantations toward Kibale National Park.
Arrive in Fort Portal in the afternoon, with stunning views of the Rwenzori Mountains. Dinner and overnight at your lodge near the forest.

Day 5: Chimpanzee Tracking – Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

After breakfast, head to the park headquarters for a briefing before your chimpanzee tracking adventure. Walk through lush tropical forest, home to several primate species and colorful birds.
After lunch, transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park, where you may spot wildlife en route during a short evening game drive.

Day 6: Game Drive and Kazinga Channel Boat Cruise

Enjoy an early morning game drive in the Kasenyi Plains to search for lions, elephants, buffaloes, leopards, and Uganda kobs. Return to the lodge for breakfast and relaxation.
In the afternoon, embark on a boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel, connecting Lakes Edward and George. This area hosts one of the largest concentrations of hippos and birds in Africa.

Day 7: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

After breakfast, depart Queen Elizabeth and drive through the Ishasha sector, known for its tree-climbing lions. Continue to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, home of the endangered mountain gorillas.
Arrive at your lodge in the evening for dinner and relaxation.

Day 8: Gorilla Trekking Experience – Return to Entebbe

After an early breakfast, proceed to the park headquarters for a briefing before beginning your gorilla trek. Venture into the dense rainforest to find one of the habituated gorilla families. Once located, spend a magical hour observing them in their natural environment.
After the trek, return to your lodge for lunch, then begin your journey back to Entebbe, arriving in the evening for your onward flight or hotel drop-off.
